Bandit Lee Way?

Okay, first things first, I don't stalk MCR's every move like I used to when i was like 15. But then when i logged into Buzznet today i noticed this whole thing about the 'Waybe' and I read it. Then I went onto MCR's website then Bang! LeVar Burton tells the world the Waybe has arrived (Which I find very funny by the way, I'd love to just be able to Twitter him like 'Yo, LeVar, wassup? Just had a baby'... *Sigh* In my Star Trek dreams...).

Drum roll please.

Not too exciting acsually, although I do question the name choice. Were they going for some sort of Wild West themed? What's up with all these wierd celebrity names? Bronx Mowgli? Harlow Winter?

What happened to the good old days when names like Sarah, David, and my own boring name Hannah, were still logical choices for children's names? Now they've gotta be named after fictional children's book characters, seasons, fruit, biblical figures (Apple, Moses? Great choice Gwen).

God help the children of the future.

Well, I've been preparing for the day I have my first child, and as I will want ot stick with this strange trend, I have decided my child will be called Samsung Autumn Pineapple Budweiser. I haven't decided whether that's a male or female name yet, but I think it suits both.

And PS. Bandit Lee - is that male or female. I know Lee can swing either way, and I'm not sure Bandit will be in the baby name book.

I apologise if this caused offence to the 0.0001% of the world population that has the disease. But it is funny though.

I also got the results of my English Literature coursework - 100% on the first essay and 88% on the second. Yey :)

And today I had a General Studies exam. In my previous one in January i got an E. Great. And this one didn't really go particularly amazing. Question 1 - internet access across the world. Question 2 - living in rural and urban areas. Question 3 - expansion of Heathrowe airport in London.

Why should I care about any of that? Well I have to if i hope to pass. Sociology exam on Monday. Yey... *sarcasm*

And so life goes on...

First, driving:

Yes! I think I can do it!

Second: X-men:

I'm gonna watch the new X-men movie this weekend. I'm quite excited because a luv <3 X-men like there's no tomorrow. I secretly wish i was an x-(wo)man that would be uber cool.

Third: My accent:

A lot of people have accused me of not speaking like an 'english' person recently because I used words and phrases like 'OMG' and 'like no way' and 'totally' and I can't think of any more but generally stuff like that.

I can't help it if American sub-cultures rub off on me. Who else have I got to idolise in the country? Ricky Gervais?!

I'm sure there are actually hundreds more cool English people I could look up to in this country but...

I just realised today that my accent though is the best one in the whole of England.

Where I'm from letters are missed out of words because of the dialect. For example 'I went t'park' instead of 'I went to the park'. Pretty niffly, and time-saving. But clearly I don't type like that or no one would understand what I'm saying.

Anyway, I was talking to my sister about something and I said the word 'couldn't'. And then after I started to think about it. I'd never really thought about the way I talked, but then I realised, in my happy little Yorkshire accent the word is shortened, and actually pronounced 'cunt'.

No lies. 'Cunt'. Really.

I don't know how no one realised this before. So it's like 'I cunt go shopping at weekend', (The word 'the' is missed out a lot) If I was talking in my accent.

Pretty cool. And here is something to illustrate it. BTW, I'm from the north. T' Lion T' Witch and T' Wardrobe.

And finally, I am quite concerned about my friend. You wonder why, well I'll tell you.

I came to college today and realised one of my friends wasn't there (we call him Mortimer, pronouced 'Morimer', God we really hate those 'T's). I asked my other friend where he was. She said that he'd been playing around on a football pitch with his bike. He jumped off his bike, intending to grab the bar of the goal post in some sort of hilarious act, but instead hit his head on the bar, had a fit, fell unconcious, ended up in hospital and cannot remember the last two days.

Brilliant.

So, it's the holidays :)

Last day of college today for two weeks. Yey :)

And I like what they've done with the journal thing.

So, i thought I would make an update of my life, seening as nothing has really happened in my life to dedicate a journal to.

The driving this is going pretty well, so that's good :)

I am however quite stress about getting my coursework in on time and my AS-Level exams are in a few months so :(

So i guess that all equals out to about a :| which, is better than being sad.

Hopefully next time I'll have more to write about, but currently I can't concentrate because I'm having too much fun with the journal updates.

Driving update: AHHHH!!!

I spoke too soon.

I killed someone...

Joke.

But there was a lot of 'AHHHHH!!!'ing involved in my last driving lesson. Merely the second time I have ever driven, but my driving instructor presumed that I knew everything about how a car worked, how traffic lights work, round-a-bouts etc...

Well, I most certainly fucking-well do not.

But, I went for a nice happy/terrifying drive around the area while she chatted happily to me about her life as I approached red lights not knowing how the fuck to stop the car. I do not learn in an automatic, it will not just stop when I hit the break; it will stall. I still do not understand how to do gears or know what gears to be in to stop. And the roads were hardly straight, as they never are in England, unless you're on a motorway. I wish I was learning to drive in America, there are straight roads AND automatics.

Anyway, here is the nice little adventure she took me on:

Lovely.

I hate driving. That's the top and bottom of it. But I have to learn otherwise I'll be reliant on buses and trains for the rest of my life, and i don't like that. Trains smell like pee and buses smell like pot. I want a nice smelling form of transport.

But I have to learn if I'm ever gonna do anything with my life.

I hear you scream in shock.

Well, that's exactly what I was screaming as it pulled up outside my house. I should be learning in a Nissan or some other form of a small car, not a 4x4!

But luckily, it went good. I learnt how to start the car, and change gear, and even stop the car, without injuring myself, my instructor, or a pedestrian passing by.

Well done me, the accident-prone one!

And now that my dad realised that i can actually be behind the wheel of a car (not just a car, but a 4x4) and not kill anyone, he believes that anything is possible for me.

I'll be filling out my application to Oxford University next year.

Google Earth

This has always amused me, this program. From 'ooo look I found my house' to 'I'm on top of Kilimanjaro woooh!'

But the other day, after downloading the new version ('I'm under the sea woooh!') I was minding my own business, following the route to takes me to walk from my house to school, when all of a sudden...

DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUUN!

OMGWTF?!

I cannot evne begin to wonder why someone's front garden has this in it. A cross and '06' written it. I guesses that it may have been the World Cup that year or something, and the St. George's flag is a cross. as shown here...

But WHO THE FUCK WRITES IT IN THEIR GARDEN?!

They knew, they must have known that Google Earth was taking pictures that day, or something, because I do not know ANYONE who would do something weird like this.

And i know it seems like I'm over reacting but at the time i was just like OMG ALIENS ARE DOING CROP CIRCLES BY MY HOUSE AND THEY HAVE BECOME VERY PATRIOTIC TOWARDS THE ENGLISH... hmm strange very strange.

What scares me the most is that i have to walk by that house every day to get to school. I tend ot avoid it by crossing the road. A little extreme, I know, but, as much as i love being English, I don't want to be abducted by England-loving aliens, thank you very much.

Something cool to lighten the mood, I found how the Union Jack was created while on google searching for pictures of St. George's flag.

I already knew that they combined the flags of England, Scotland and Ireland, but anyone interested in British history, do feel free to check it out.

I am sooo thankful for whoever it was that did that for me. I've been on Buzznet for quite a while now and I have never had anything like that happen to me. I'm just glad someone actually takes notice of the fact that I'm here; sometimes I think I can't be bothered to sign in anymore if nothing is ever going to happen and no one will notice me gone and I've been on here for so long that i feel that no matter how long i have been joined up nothing will every happen for me to be appreciated, just once.

But now my spirits have been recindled! I am very happy :D
